The Multidisciplinary Media Studies major allows you to build a customized course of study that aligns with your goals. Through hands-on courses, you will gain professional skills that are relevant to today’s — and tomorrow’s — media industry.
To graduate, all Multidisciplinary Media Studies majors must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. Multidisciplinary Media Studies majors earn a Bachelor of Arts and complete:
- MDMS Focus Courses and Electives (33 credits)
- General Electives (31 credits)
- General Education Foundation Courses (23 credits), including English, math and sciences
- Media Core Classes (20 credits), including: Orientation Course, Media and Society, Media Writing, Media Tools and Applications, Introduction to Advertising and Public Relations, Media Ethics and Law, and MDMS Capstone
